Tuition

Tuition in the Brown MPH Program is charged on a per course basis. Required internships (the Public Health Internship and the Analytical Internship) have the same tuition as courses. The tuition for the 2008-2009 academic year is $4616. per course. The tuition rate is adjusted annually. The usual full time course load for first year students includes the summer internship and 3 courses in both the fall and spring semesters.

Full-time students typically take six courses during the second year. Part-time students are charged $4616. per course.

Health insurance is required for all students. The cost of health insurance through the university is $2,512. for the 2008-2009 academic year. Students who have comparable health insurance may submit a waiver form to the Insurance Office. Otherwise the University health insurance fee will be charged. In addition to the health insurance fee, there is a health services fee of $626. for the 2008-2009 academic year. This fee supports the on campus Health Services Program which provides medical care and other health services to students. There is an additional charge of $40 for the student activity fee for the 2007-2008 academic year.
