Information for Parents and Families

Parents and families of Alpert Medical School students and Program in Liberal Medical Education undergraduates are an integral part of the Brown medical community. Even after your student graduates from the Medical School, you will be connected with the place that gave your child his or her start in the noble profession of medicine.

We know your busy medical student may not always have time to fill you in on everything that's going on at school, so we've collected some must-have resources for medical parents.

There are a number of ways ways to become more involved as a Brown medical parent. You can become a member of the Medical Parents Committee or open your home to a visiting Brown medical student through the HOST program.

If you do not find what you are looking for or are interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities, please contact the Office of Medical Parent Programs at 401 863-1635, or e-mail the director of parent programming, Bethany Solomon.
