Research Assistants Request for Library Access
Research assistants of full-time faculty in the clinical departments are eligible for access to Brown's electronic library resources. These include full-text e-journals and online medical textbooks.
Access is granted on a fiscal year (July 1 through June 30) basis. Please print and complete the Request for Library Access form. The form should be filled out by the staff person, signed by the faculty member and faxed to Lorna Bienvenue at (401) 863-3431 in the Dean's Office.
After receiving the password, if staff have questions about accessing the library resources, they can contact Tovah Reis at Tovah_Reis@brown.edu, Medical School Librarian, Brown University.
Physicians Requesting Library Access prior to their Brown Faculty Appointment
Physicians that have submitted their request for a Brown faculty appointment, can receive access to Brown's electronic resources for up to a year, as long as their department is willing to sponsor them.
Please fill out the Brown Card ID Request Form and fax it directly to the Brown Card office: Fax: (401) 863-1233

For physical access to the Brown Library, physicians can receive an access card from their Hospital Library Director.
