Mission Statement: The mission of the BioMed Faculty Affairs Office is to support faculty in the Biology and Medical departments in their research and teaching functions, and to facilitate faculty development, including promotion, recruitment, appointments, retention, mentoring, and diversity.
The Office of BioMed Faculty Affairs (BMFA) reviews and processes material for searches, faculty appointments, reappointments, and promotions of full-time academic, (Research) and clinical faculty in the Medical School and the Biology Departments. It also handles appointments and reappointments for residents and fellows at affiliated institutions.

BMFA also sponsors several faculty development workshops each year. The staff maintains faculty files and evaluations, the faculty data base, and the AAMC's Faculty Roster, and deals with numerous departments on campus and in the affiliated institutions.
