Resident Scholarly Activities

Residents have extensive exposure to research including a dedicated curriculum given during their protected time. All residents are required to complete a research project by the end of their third year. They give a formal presentation of their research design (objectives, literature review, methods) in their second year and a formal presentation of their completed study in the third year. The Division of Research as well as individual research mentors provide strong support. Residents receive a $1000 stipend to defray expenses for their research and pick faculty to precept their projects. Most residents publish their research in peer-reviewed journals.
