MDL Facilities


The facility has two distinct types of laboratories with the following student capacities:

High Bench Laboratories for 120 students:
Rooms 112A, 112D, 256


Low Bench Laboratories for 148 students:
Rooms 08, 010, 011, 025, 112B, 112C


In addition to the main laboratory facilities we have five conference rooms, each with a capacity for sixteen students (Rooms 115A, 115B, 212, 217), and eight lab/conference rooms, each with a capacity for twelve students (Rooms 012A, 012B, 012C, 012D, 015A, 015B, 015C, 097). These lab/conference rooms are designed primarily for small group discussions or laboratories using microscopes and video-microscope setups for histology and pathology slide study.


The large classroom teaching spaces in the Biomedical Center (Rooms 013, 081, 119, 139, 202, 291) are supported with audiovisual equipment, i.e. slide projectors, overhead projectors, LCD projectors, computers, etc., purchased and maintained by the MDL. Users may obtain technical help and assistance from the MDL technicians, as needed. Faculty requiring audiovisual equipment support, elsewhere in the Division, may borrow this equipment from the MDL.
