Financial Aid Appeals

A student who believes that his or her financial aid application has not received full consideration should first discuss the matter with the director or assistant director. If after review with the director or assistant director, a student still believes that the award is not appropriate under the University and federal guidelines, he or she may submit a written appeal to the associate dean for medical education, who has been designated by the dean of medicine and biological sciences for supervision of the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. The associate dean will consult the Financial Aid Policy Committee. All matters pertaining to financial aid are confidential, and all decisions made by the Financial Aid Policy Committee are final.
