Criteria for HonorsHave a superior fund of knowledge of the relevant material. Become highly skilled at the technical requirements of the anesthesiologist. Be able to make sound clinical judgments.
Criteria for PassingHave a sound knowledge of cardiopulmonary physiology and pathophysiology. Thorough reading of assigned texts to learn about Pharmacology of anesthetic drugs. Preoperative assessment and risk management of the surgical patient and conduction of general and regional anesthesia, post-operative follow-up. Develop technical skills of airway management, intravenous technique.

DescriptionUnder direct supervision the student will be instructed in intravenous technique, airway management, laryngoscopy and intubation and cardiovascular monitoring.
