Routes of Admission

Students interested in the study of medicine at Alpert Medical School may apply through a variety of admissions routes designed to enroll a diverse and highly qualified student body. The entering class includes students from the Program in Liberal Medical Education (PLME) as well as those admitted through the standard admission route, the MD/PhD Program, and special programs at institutions with which the medical school has linkage agreements.

Readmission Policy and Procedures

Students who withdraw or who are dismissed from the medical school after matriculation must apply for readmission. Requirements for readmission include:

• Completed and signed Application for Readmission to the MD Program;
• Official transcripts from post-secondary institutions, to include college and medical school courses;
• Three letters of recommendation;
• $95 application fee.

Applications will be read by members of the MD Admissions Committee, who decide if a candidate should be readmitted. The admissions decision is final and may not be appealed. Individuals are limited to one application for readmission.
